About Me

Hi!

My name is Stine, and I am an undergraduate exchange student from Norway.
This fall I am studying at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, which is located on the island of O'ahu. My major is Geology, but in this semester I am actually attending a course in meteorology. I was told to create my very first blog where I will share some blog posts about the weather and climate back in Norway, as an project in this course. So that is basically the purpose of me writing this first post!

Norway is a beautiful country which is located on the European continent in the northern hemisphere. I have lived in Norway my whole life, and I would say that I am pretty familiar with the norwegian climate, as I have gotten to experience a lot of cold winters throughout the years! But even if I have my own personal opinions about the norwegian seasons and how it is to live so far up north, I am pretty excited to investigate more about the weather and the climate in my home country!

  1. Japan is significantly different than Norway. Japan has subtropical climate while Norway has the same latitude as Greenland and Alaska. So it receives same chilly weather as them. Norway is located in Northern Europe and lie in the North Atlantic Ocean, while Japan is located in East Asia and is in thr Pacific Ocean. The culture is different to Norway grows lots of wheat and oats and raised cattles. Japan grows rices and raises fishes.
